Can I still workout or go to the gym while my tattoo is healing?

I strongly recommend taking a break from the gym for a couple of days, especially during the first few days of healing. A fresh tattoo is an open wound and needs to be treated as such. This means protecting it from exposure to sweat, bacteria, and everyone else’s cooties! Trust me - I used to work in a gym and they are very gross and never as clean as you think they are…  

The tattooed area also needs time to heal up, so if you do want to exercise, please exercise areas of the body that won't affect the fresh tattoo by stretching or rubbing the skin. Wash the tattoo immediately after exercising, and follow the aftercare instructions thoroughly.
